Teaching Competencies for Community Preceptors

A group of educators and clinicians has developed and published a list of teaching competencies for community preceptors found in the article entitled “Teaching Competencies for Community Preceptors”.  Drs. Brink, Simpson, Crouse, Morzinski, Bower, and Westra recognized that medical educators heavily adjudicate the skills, competencies and behaviors of our students, but little research or structure existed to describe competencies of community preceptors until their published work in Family Medicine in 2017.  Read the full article.
