Graduate Medical Education

The PNWU-COM Graduate Medical Education Department (GME) provides Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Osteopathic Recognition accreditation assistance, faculty development, and general osteopathic GME program support for the PNWU-COM six-state region (WA, WY, AK, ID, MT, OR) Residency programs, sponsoring institutions and  Rural Training Tracks, including the WWAMI Family Medicine Residency Network. GME delivers osteopathic workshops in the region and facilitates CME credits for applicable residency program activities.

Students: GME assists students with residency placement opportunities, Meet-n-Greet residency program events (virtual), scholarly activity, and residency planning in conjunction with Student Affairs and Clinical Education. Who do you talk to about Residency Planning? How do you prepare for the Residency Interview season, NRMP deadlines, CVs, and more? Find out on the Residency Planning SharePoint site (requires PNWU login).

Residency Talk Tuesdays! Starting August 29, talk with us in person every Tuesday from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in the Butler Haney Hall Foyer. The last Tuesday of each month is specifically dedicated to CV’s, personal statement development, and scholarly activity.
