In keeping with CDC-recommended practices of social distancing to help reduce exposure and increase containment of COVID-19, PNWU is suspending in-person visits to our Yakima campus for an indefinite time. We will continue to monitor the current health situation and post any updates here as soon as new information is available. In the meantime, we encourage you all to take a "virtual visit" by viewing our new PNWU Campus Tour video.
Thank you for your interest in visiting PNWU. We hope to once again welcome you to our campus soon.
PNWU is rich in diversity, embracing an enticing mixture of breathtaking landscape, culture, and fresh opportunities that surround us in the valley of Yakima, Washington. Yakima's downtown district is home to a burgeoning mecca of fine restaurants and eateries. Most are locally owned, using local produce to create authentic recipes.
The Yakima Valley is also the second largest premium wine producer in the United States, with hundreds of wineries located throughout the valley. Within an hours’ drive in any direction awaits a myriad of recreational activities such as: skiing, snowboarding, rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing, fly-fishing, boating, camping, and hiking just to name a few. Yakima is a place where home and living unite, breeding the true spirit of the Pacific Northwest into the University of Health Sciences that resides here.
