Dear Student Doctors, Colleagues, and Friends of PNWU,
I’m pleased to announce that Paige Ely, Class of 2019, has been selected as the PNWU Student Doctor of the Year. Paige is currently an Academic Medicine Scholar in the Department of Osteopathic Principles and Practice, and will graduate with the Class of 2020.
Student Doctor Ely was selected through a competitive process by the SDOY committee, chaired by Mariah Smith, OMS II, from an impressive list of exceptional nominees. All of the nominees were worthy of receiving the award based on their accomplishments, ranging from academics to community services. But one student stood out among her peers, and is being recognized for this prestigious honor.
Also being recognized is Sarah Knight, OMS IV, as an Honorable Mention designee.
Paige will now be PNWU’s candidate for the National Student Doctor of the Year award. Rest assured that we will be well represented in that national pool of candidates.
Please join me in congratulating PNWU’s Student Doctor of the Year, Paige Ely!
