Revolutionizing Community Health: Announcing PNWU’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

On Monday, March 29 at noon, PNWU officially announced our Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in a dynamic online event.

“Revolutionizing Community Health: Announcing PNWU’s Office of DEI” offers attendees a chance to witness our vision of a more equitable tomorrow, learn how PNWU’s Office of DEI aims to revolutionize community health, hear from nationally recognized health policy influencers, and more.

The event featured keynote speaker Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, a nationally recognized expert on health policy issues and has served as an advisor for state and federal governments on primary care, medical education, and health care issues affecting minorities, women, and rural populations. Additional speakers included PNWU President Dr. Michael Lawler, PNWU Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Mirna I. Ramos-Diaz, PNWU College of Osteopathic Medicine Dean Dr. Thomas Scandalis, Yakama Elder Anthony Washines, PNWU Student Doctor (OMS IV) Jessica Owaka, and PNWU Student Doctor (OMS IV) Alexandra Olivo.
