Two PNWU employees were recently accepted into the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) Mission Fulfillment Fellowship Program.
Despite 73 applicants vying for only 24 available positions in the program, both Angie Girard (PNWU Director of Accreditation & Strategic Planning) and Lori Fulton (PNWU Director of Institutional Effectiveness) were selected to take part in the Mission Fulfillment Fellowship, which aims to prepare higher education leaders to advance institutional mission fulfillment and quality initiatives through assessment, reflection, and planning. According to a release from the NWCCU, the program is designed to introduce aspiring leaders to regional and national leaders in assessment, accreditation, data analysis, quality assurance, educational innovation, and educational effectiveness.
"PNWU is driven by mission, and Ms. Girard and Dr. Fulton are deeply committed to fulfilling this mission,” said Dr. Michael Lawler, President of PNWU. “Through this fellowship, they will strengthen their expertise and help lead the University toward continuous mission fulfillment.”
As part of their role as NWCCU Mission Fulfillment Fellows, Girard and Fulton will present a final project applying mission fulfillment best practices to an institutional challenge/opportunity here at PNWU.
“An opportunity such as this is both an honor and great recognition of the expertise and outstanding job performances that Dr. Fulton and Ms. Girard bring to the organization,” said Dr. Edward Bilsky, PNWU Provost. “It also exemplifies their commitment to give back to professional organizations that play critical roles in higher education and continuous quality improvement.”
Please join us in congratulating Angie and Lori on their acceptance into the NWCCU Mission Fulfillment Fellowship program, and in thanking them for their outstanding ongoing commitment to our mission!
