Outstanding On All Counts: PNWU Hosts 3rd Annual Academic Day & Research Symposium

On Friday, April 12, PNWU hosted the 3rd Annual Academic Day & Research Symposium. This year’s event, which aimed to promote scholarship in the healthcare field and advance the community of scholarship, was described by many as the most impressive and outstanding Academic Day yet. That tremendous success can be directly attributed to the PNWU Office of Scholarly Activity, headed by Chief Research Office Dr. Michelle McCarroll.

“I’m so proud of the work of Anita Quintana, Dr. Briggs Early and the entire research committee, said Dr. McCarroll. “Their efforts have raised the bar of quality scholarly activity and community outreach each year.”

“Academic Day 2019 was simply outstanding on all counts,” said Dr. Edward Bilsky, PNWU Provost. “Well run and organized, the posters and program looked similar to those at national conferences, and the students did a great job presenting and answering questions.”

“Kudos to Dr. McCarroll and team, and all who presented their research,” added PNWU President Dr. Michael Lawler. “I was pleased with the attention to our mission and service to vulnerable populations. A great day!”
