Resources for Residents and Interns

Interns and residents in PNWU-affiliated residency programs may request access to a limited set of PNWU’s licensed databases. Please refer to Accessing Licensed Electronic Resources for more information and to request a login. Permissions are limited by our vendor agreements, and are subject to change without notice. Accounts expire at the end of your residency.

Once your PNWU login has been created, you can access the approved databases through our proxy server. Please make sure you follow the instructions sent by PNWU Technology Services to create a secure password before you attempt to log in to licensed resources.

Note: the PubMed@PNWU link will not work with your resident login. You can access many full text articles when you search directly in MEDLINE Complete or CINAHL Complete. You can also search with pubmed.gov and order by email (see below). If you don’t have a PNWU login, you can still order articles through PNWU Library, provided your affiliated resident status can be verified.

If you are not affiliated with a hospital that offers library services, PNWU Library can provide you with journal articles on request.

Reference Services and Library Instruction

Reference service and library instruction are available by phone, video chat, email, or in person, during regular business hours.

Circulation

Circulating books may be checked out for two weeks. Journals and reference books are for in-library use only. Please show your photo ID and identify yourself as a PNWU affiliated resident when checking out materials.
