Michele Erickson CFRE
Michele began her development career in 2001 with HIV Alliance providing strategic planning and leadership for the development activities of this Lane County Oregon nonprofit and was central to the agency’s success in increasing and diversifying its financial support. Since then, she has accumulated fifteen years of experience and accomplishment directing development programs in health sciences, higher education, and community based healthcare non-profit settings that partner with diverse groups of constituents and alumni.
As the Donor Relations Officer and campaign director for Lane Community College, Michele became very familiar with healthcare workforce issues and provided leadership to prepare, launch and implement a campaign to expand Lane’s capacity to educate nurses for the community. The campaign raised capital for construction of a new Health and Wellness Center on campus as well as provided important funding for student scholarships and faculty support.
In 2010, Michele returned to her alma mater, Oregon State University, where she had received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She joined the OSU Foundation as a Director of Development supporting the Linus Pauling Institute, a world-class health sciences research institute. She was promoted from this role to lead a team of fundraisers supporting the College of Business. Michele’s association with Oregon State University Foundation strengthened her academic and constituent fundraising skills while she worked to grow and develop the advancement efforts of these organizations to higher levels.
