As the Associate Dean for Clinical Education (ADCE), Dr. Showalter is responsible for the personnel and administrative operations of the Office of Clinical Education and operations of the geographically dispersed COM clinical campus system. Additionally, she is responsible to insure faculty development needs are met for the clinical campus system. Dr. Showalter serves as a leader for COM, representing the College at various functions with the University and the external community, and serving in leadership roles in COM committees and activities.
Dr. Showalter is a graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Ohio.
The use of osteopathic principles in Women’s Health has been a focus of Dr. Showalter’s practice and scholarly activity and she is recognized nationally as a leader in the field
