Outlook Web Access

Access your PNWU email account from any web browser.

Send Secure Email

Encrypted email allows for a secure method to send sensitive information to people outside the pnwu.edu domain by requiring secondary authentication as a means to verify the recipient’s identity.  It is FERPA compliant, but not verified for HIPAA.

From your PNWU email, simply include the term [Secure] in the message subject. You must add a between [Secure] and your subject. The term must include the brackets for our mail system to recognize that you would like the message to be encrypted.

Secure Email

The recipient will receive an email stating they have an encrypted messaging waiting for them.  They are instructed to open the attachment. The attachment opens in their web browser and requires them to login with a Microsoft account or to be sent a one-time passcode for authentication. PNWU employees or students would login with their PNWU email credentials.

Note that messages sent from one pnwu.edu email address to another pnwu.edu email address are already encrypted. Adding [secure] to an internal message isn't needed.
