Resources for Adjunct Clinical Faculty

Resources available to adjunct clinical faculty.

eResources

Adjunct clinical faculty may request access to PNWU’s licensed electronic resources. Please refer to Accessing Licensed Electronic Resources for more information and to request a login. Permissions are limited by our vendor agreements, and are subject to change without notice. Accounts expire each year on June 30 for ACFs who have had no preceptor activity within the past 12 months.

Once your PNWU network account is created, you can find full text articles in MEDLINE Complete by logging in with your PNWU username and password. You can also search the regular PubMed site and order articles through Loansome Doc. (Please note: The PubMed@PNWU link will not work with your preceptor login.)

The Library Search tool is accessible to all users, but links to full text articles may be blocked due to site license restrictions. For best results, please use the resources listed below.

eResources for Adjunct Clinical Faculty

Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

If you are not affiliated with a hospital that offers library services, PNWU Library can provide you with journal articles through document delivery or interlibrary loan. Submit your request using the Loansome Doc ordering system (preferred). For items that are not indexed in PubMed, you can use our Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan Request Form. Please see Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery for more information.

Reference Services and Library Instruction

Reference service is available by phone, email, or in person. Library staff are available to answer your reference questions, provide instruction in database searching, or provide literature searches. Literature searches will be delivered to your email account. Please use the Literature Search Request Form.

Circulation

Circulating books may be checked out for two weeks; reserve books for twenty-four hours. Journals and reference books may be used in the library only. Please show your photo ID and identify yourself as a PNWU adjunct clinical faculty member when checking out materials.
