Mobile Applications

Content from many of our core licensed databases can be accessed through mobile apps for iOS and Android.  Make sure you follow the instructions for each resource to link to our subscriptions.  Both DynaMed and UpToDate support point-of-care diagnosis and treatment. Adjunct and clinical faculty and qualified residents may request access to DynaMed through PNWU Library.

Dynamed – for clinical instructors, students, and faculty

DynaMed is an evidence-based, point-of-care resource that is updated daily.

Visit EBSCO’s how to login page for instructions on how to download and use the app.

You will need to verify your account online (either from on campus or through the proxy) every three months (90 days) to keep your credentials active and maintain access. This is a two-part process; first you must access the database from the PNWU network, then log into your user account to authenticate.

For additional information, see EBSCO Help, or contact library staff.

UpToDate – for PNWU students and faculty

Learn about Mobile Access to UpToDate

To use the UpToDate app, you need to create a user account while you are linked to PNWU’s subscription to the database. The easiest way to do that is:

  • Go to the library’s Databases page, then choose UpToDate from the list. If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in to the proxy server (using your PNWU username and password).
  • In the upper right corner of the landing page, it should say, “Welcome, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.” Click on the adjacent link that says Log In/Register. You will be prompted to create an account with a unique username and password.
  • Once that account is created, you can download the app to your smartphone or tablet. Log in using your account info, which will then be tied to our institutional subscription.
  • You will need to verify your account online (either from on campus, or through the proxy) every 90 days to keep your credentials active and maintain access.
