Experience PNWU Fall Drive

Welcome!

PNWU was built on a vision of lifting up our communities through care. For 16 years we’ve been working to make that vision a reality.

As we reflect on the past year, and its unprecedented challenges, we thank you – our communities – for recognizing the vitality of our vision, supporting our mission, and joining us in the crucial work ahead.

As of this writing, over 1,000 PNWU physicians are caring for patients, in rural and medically underserved communities throughout the Northwest and beyond.

Meanwhile, over 800 mission-driven students are training at PNWU in hopes of soon providing high-quality health care to the people and places they know and love.

More PNWU health sciences programs are currently in development, anticipated to join our nationally ranked College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) and our latest addition…

…PNWU’s Master of Arts in Medical Sciences (MAMS) program: a one-year master’s degree program which provides mission-driven students a rare bridge to our community health revolution.

With more programs on the horizon, we remain committed to providing opportunities for anyone committed to joining us in our efforts to ensure that we all have access to the care we need.

Since 2005, we’ve had a front-row seat to the power of inclusion. Together, we have made great progress, not regardless of our backgrounds, but often because of our backgrounds.

Our graduates have shown a generation of change-seekers that it is possible to create real change, as long as they believe in themselves and have somebody to believe in them. We thank you for believing in them.

PNWU’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, alongside our Alan Stephenson Boyd Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Excellence Endowed Scholarship, serve to provide vital support to our zealous students as they strive to become change leaders in their communities.

An $8-million-dollar pledge from MultiCare Health Systems has further enabled PNWU’s partnership-powered propulsion, equipping us to begin shaping our next step toward mission-fulfillment: a cutting-edge expansion of our Yakima campus.

This addition will bolster our current facilities, promote more interprofessional learning opportunities, provide space for additional health sciences programs, and serve as the hub of a dynamic Terrace Heights campus expected to double in size in the next five years alone.

Sure, our vision is big – but it always has been. We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t dream big, and if you didn’t see our vision and join us in this big dream.

After all, that’s what it takes to create a
community care revolution.
