Founded in 2005, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) opened its doors to the first cohort of students in 2008. PNWU's College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) and offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. PNWU is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The PNWU mission is to educate and train health care professional emphasizing service among rural and medically underserved communities throughout the Northwest.
