Kevin Van Nortwick has over 30 years of experience in corporate, partnership, individual, and estate and trust tax compliance and consulting. He has worked extensively with Alaska Native Corporations and their subsidiaries or joint ventures on both income tax and merger and acquisition issues. Kevin provides quality and timely personalized services to clients in Alaska, while focusing on their business needs and concerns. He serves as a trusted business advisor who stays abreast of the operational and strategic plans of his clients, so that he can identify tax-saving opportunities. Kevin has spoken at several Alaska Bar Association conferences on both business valuation and income tax topics, and has been a contributing writer for the Alaska Journal of Commerce and the Alaska Business Monthly magazine on various tax topics.
Prior to joining BDO, Kevin was a tax partner with Whitlock, Carlson & Associates, an Anchorage-based CPA firm that was founded in the 1970s and merged into BDO’s Anchorage office in 1998.
