Angela Stewart PharmD BCPS FWSPA

Professor Biomedical Sciences/Pharmacology

Dr. Stewart received her BS in Pharmacy from the University of Washington and her PharmD from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She completed a specialty pharmacy residency in Adult Internal Medicine at UTHSCSA and Bexar County Hospital in San Antonio and is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She has more than 20 years of experience in acute care pharmacy, including teaching, leadership, and patient care. Dr. Stewart began her academic career with the WSU College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS) and will retire as a Scholarly Professor of Pharmacotherapy. She served as the founding campus director of the Yakima extension program and as Associate Dean for Rural Health, leading the College’s efforts to increase access to pharmacy care in rural communities. She previously served as Executive Director of the Northwest Interprofessional Health Collaborative (NIHC), hosted at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU), and still serves on the collaborative’s advisory council. Dr. Stewart recently joined the PNWU School of Dental Medicine and is responsible for developing and implementing the pharmacology curriculum and supporting interprofessional education. She is actively engaged in scholarship related to rural health and interprofessional practice and education.
