Katheryn Hudon DO FAAP FACOP

Division Chief of Pediatrics

Dr. Hudon was born and raised just next door in Selah, studied Public Health and music at Tulane University and Central Washington University, and is a Pacific Northwest University alumna. As a member of the third graduating class of PNWU, she has seen it grow from the ground up, and is distinctly proud to hold the position of Chief of Pediatrics.

For her pediatric residency, Dr. Hudon trained at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, one of the oldest children’s hospitals in the nation. She balanced her hospital-based, high-acuity tertiary care with her outpatient work which was done within the communities of Detroit. In Detroit, Dr. Hudon also participated in an inaugural Population Health certification program with the University of Michigan, served as clinical faculty for the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University, and served as Chief Pediatric Resident during which time she assisted with the ACGME-AOA dual accreditation process for the Authority Health residency.

Dr. Hudon has a passion for effective medical education, and for the wellness of medical students and physicians.  As a clinical attending, she has been named Preceptor of the Year for consecutive years by PNWU students, and has been a welcome addition as clinical faculty for the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. She maintains a lively and fulfilling pediatric practice in Spokane, where she lives with her endlessly energetic husband (a family medicine physician), delightfully cacophonous children, and while still holding her gold card status at Starbucks, she now has a healthy and balanced relationship with coffee.
