NIHC Student Engagement Committee (SEC)

About the Committee

The NIHC Student Engagement Committee (SEC) is composed of student representatives from each of the collaborative’s participating health sciences programs. Its mission is to advance the overarching goals of the NIHC by fostering a culture of interprofessionalism. The SEC provides a platform for students to engage in collaborative learning experiences that enhance their understanding of each other’s roles in health care, promote shared professional values and ethics, strengthen communication skills, and encourage effective teamwork.

In addition, the SEC designs and implements interprofessional education (IPE) service initiatives and extracurricular activities that support and promote inclusive, collaborative approaches to education, practice, and scholarship.
