IPE Foundational Module

About the IPE Foundational Lesson:

All incoming students are required to complete the asynchronous IPE foundational lesson titled “Foundations of IPE: An Introduction to Interprofessional Education & the NIHC.” This lesson is designed to provide new and incoming students with an overview of the NIHC – who we are, what we do, and how students will engage in the NIHC’s interprofessional practice & education (IPE) curriculum throughout their academic journey. The lesson will further help students understand the role of interprofessional education in their training and how the NIHC supports student development as collaborative, team-based healthcare professionals.

All new and incoming students must complete this foundational lesson prior to participating in their first NIHC core didactic activity.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPE)
  2. Articulate the IPEC Core Competency Domains
  3. Identify the NIHC and the IPE Curriculum for Students
