WHAT: A health sciences education pathway and transformative co-mentoring cohort program. The Roots to Wings Program provides the opportunity to learn from Medical students about various science topics while developing a collaborative learning environment that promotes and develops a passion for science that can lead to a pathway for health sciences and STEM professions. It is our goal to maintain a learning environment that will deepen cultural and traditions and provide for a supportive cooperative learning experience where both Roots to Wings and PNWU students learn from one another.

Requirements

  • Attendance: Attendance at every session is required. We understand that sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances or an occasional emergency. If that occurs, you will need to communicate with your school representative and PNWU representative. Those will be handled on a case by case basis. To maintain the cohort integrity and consistency, only two unexcused absences are allowed.
  • Active & Positive Participation: We maintain a safe and engaging learning space that requires mutual respect and active engagement. Your preparation, participation and respectful interactions help us maintain this space.
  • Completed Application October 30th @ 3:00pm.
