Chair and Assistant Professor of Family Medicine
Dr. DiMeo directs the standardized patient program, simulation lab, and clinical skills courses. He leads a large department in educating medical students and preparing them for third- and fourth-year rotations, board exams, and patient care.
Dr. DiMeo originally hails from upstate New York, and recently moved from the New York City metro area. He received his undergraduate education at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. He attended medical school at NYCOM/NYIT in Old Westbury, and then did his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip. He was chief resident in 1999-2000. He began teaching at NYCOM in 2001 as adjunct faculty, also functioning as a preceptor in his office. He is board certified in family practice by the ACOFP.
Dr. DiMeo left a busy family practice in Massapequa, New York, to come to PNWU to head up the Family Medicine Department. He also works as a family physician at Terrace Height Family Physicians.
Dr. DiMeo is eager to teach and mold future physicians in the Pacific Northwest.
