PNWU encourages basic science, clinical, and education research. Every effort will be undertaken by the Office of Scholarly Activity to encourage and assist students and faculty in the development, funding, implementation, and dissemination of the scholarly endeavor of interest.
Only students listed in good academic standing are permitted to participate in any scholarly activity outside of required course work such as, but not limited to: an active research study (human subjects, bench, etc.), preparation of research studies, external funding submissions, external funding notifications, research elective, global health elective, etc. Students in the following categories of academic standing such as, but not limited to: probation, failed COMLEX exam, remediation in any form, warning, etc. are not permitted to be involved in any aspect of the research/scholarly activity spectrum outside of scholarly activity required for degree completion.
